I do love being invited into my clients’ homes when their little one arrives and they are settled in and ready for their newborn portrait. The day-in-the-life feel of photographing like this gives me so many opportunities to catch and create some really sweet moments. When the family dog is involved it always make it that much more entertaining. Cooper, the beautiful dog, thought this session was all about him. Molly had a lot of cozy time with mom and dad and Cooper stood watch and made his bold, but super sweet and gentle presence known.
This new family was equally as sweet and just so nice to be with. Molly had her moments of nap and being cute and alert for me. I’m gad we could get all the wardrobe ideas mom had. They were all so stinkin’ cute!
I most definitely had to get a beauty shot of Cooper as he was obviously working me for his close up!
This new family took it all in stride. Cooper’s little antics, Molly’s cries for a change, locating the burb cloth at just the right time. In the middle of all of that, we created these images. I’m happy they have more than a handful in print and the black and white one of mother and daughter is now framed as wall art too.
I don’t think I can say “sweet” enough in regards to everything and everyone about this session. I don’t think I can say “thank you” enough ever when it comes to families letting me into their newborn world. It’s a pretty amazing feeling. So, thank you.
